UCSB TV joined Robert Downey Jr. on the red carpet during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Feb. 9.
Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) Moderator and film critic Leonard Maltin, whom the Maltin Modern Master Award is named after, interviewed Robert Downey Jr. for an hour and a half in celebration of his incredible career. A collection of clips from different films Downey has acted in were shown following different parts of the interview and received a distinguishable roar from the sold-out audience.
Actor Rob Lowe and Oppenheimer co-star, Cillian Murphy came out to speak to Downey’s achievements, and Oppenheimer co-star, Cillian Murphy, made an appearance. He presented the award to Downey.
“In my opinion, he is the most versatile actor of his generation. Most likely of many generations,” he said.
