ISLA VISTA, Calif. – St. George and Associates are planning a demolition and construction project at 971 Embarcadero Del Mar, in Isla Vista.
The property management company is proposing a 35 feet tall and 10,000-square-foot single-room occupancy building. The building is set to be three stories and will have 28 single rooms divided amongst 5 room groups. St. George plans first to demolish the existing commercial building which stands at about 3,000 square feet and then build a new 10,000-square-foot building.
Each room in the new development will have one twin bed and each of the five room groups will share a restroom, kitchen, and common living space. St. George will also supply eight parking spaces and 30 bike parking spots.
