The event was held to honor the Asian American communities that reside and once resided in the Presidio neighborhood.
ISLA VISTA, Calif. — The Asian American Neighborhood Festival was hosted by the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation. This organization largely advocates for the preservation and enrichment of different Asian American communities and their historical roots in Santa Barbara. The Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation also holds other annual events in July including their Asian American Film Series.
This year’s Asian American Neighborhood Festival included cultural dance performances, educational booths, and arts and crafts.
