For two days, Anisq’Oyo park was transformed into a mystical wonderland of spooky stories and characters

ISLA VISTA, Calif. — Isla Vista Recreation and Park District hosted their annual Pumpkin Patch in celebration of Halloween on October 29. People from across the Isla Vista and Goleta community turned out to join in on the festivities. Attendees participated in a fun scavenger hunt to restore the spirit of Halloween and help the Pumpkin King escape the purgatory’s pumpkin patch and reunite with his queen.

This is not the only Halloween event hosted in Isla Vista. On October 31st, a costume contest was held in collaboration with UCSB Fashion Club with a grand prize of $1000. The park was painted with eccentric characters such as oracles and wolves and included a silent disco and a 3D art tribute to Dia de los Muertos.
